This notice explains the information involved when you visit Carried Wisdom at carriedwisdom.com or choose to subscribe.
Hosting and visitor statistics
Carried Wisdom is hosted by WordPress.com, a service from Automattic. I use WordPress.com Stats to see basic views and visitor counts. Automattic processes technical information such as IP address, browser type, referring site, and time of access, and may estimate approximate location from an IP address. Its visitor privacy notice explains its collection, use, sharing, and retention of visitor information.
Voluntary subscriptions
If you choose to subscribe to Carried Wisdom through WordPress.com, operated by Automattic, it collects your email address to manage your subscription. Subscribing is optional. Comments are currently closed on published posts.
Cookies and your choices
Automattic uses cookies and similar technologies, including pixels, in providing its services. See its cookie policy and WordPress.com’s tracking and opt out guidance for available controls and their limits. Some information is needed to provide the service, so these choices do not stop all collection.
Advertising and other services
Carried Wisdom does not currently display Google AdSense ads or include affiliate links. If you choose a link or sharing option that takes you to another service, that service’s privacy policy applies to your activity there.
Privacy questions
For privacy questions, use the Privacy Contact page. Your email address and message are required; your name is optional. Jetpack and Automattic process your submission for delivery, and Akismet checks it for spam using submission data, including your IP address and browser user agent. Messages are delivered to a private Gmail inbox to handle your request. Saving responses in the WordPress dashboard is turned off. The emailed copy remains in Gmail unless deleted. Provider policies also govern processing and service logs; this form is not anonymous. Please do not send medical records, payment credentials, or urgent requests.
